DMC will normally expect that at least two estimates from a qualified contractor will have been obtained for any essential home improvements.

Where the application is to cover the cost of items of essential equipment the applicant will need to show that alternative items have been costed.

Can I claim a grant to meet a payment I have already made?

No consideration can be given to a retrospective application where an expense has already been incurred. DMC will however consider an application for assistance where further financial needs can be demonstrated.
